Thunder Airlines Limited has been in business in Northwestern Ontario since 1994. The company expanded in November 1999 with the acquisition of competitors Airmed Canada and G&E.  

Thunder Airlines currently employs over 100 staff and operates a fleet of 10 aircraft. ( 5 X Mu-2 aircraft,  4 X King Air A100’s, 1 Cessna Grand Caravan).

Our Head Office/Flight Coordination Centre is located in Thunder Bay with bases in Dryden, Sioux Lookout, Sudbury and Timmins.  

Besides being one of the largest "fixed wing" Air Ambulance contractors for the Ontario Ministry of Health (under an SOA agreement), Thunder Airlines is a very proud provider for Bell Canada, Expertech, Wardrop Engineering, Health Sciences North, Ministry of Natural Resources, Hydro One Remote Communities, Public Works Canada, NAN Legal Services, Indian Affairs, various contracting companies... and the list goes on.

Thunder Airlines and it’s flight crews are very well seasoned in the geographical area it operates in and is committed to "Safety" being it’s number one priority. Thunder Airlines is no stranger to any of the remote communities, we presently service all the remote communities every day. Thunder Airlines provides quality service to its customers and is committed to excellence and satisfaction to all of its clientele.
